Amazing Indian-Napalese food! Would definitely go back!
I recommend this place! The food came quickly and was delicious and the staff is incredibly nice (they speak both English and Japanese).
Very good food and a very friendly staff and owner
Nice indian Restaurant, very lovely staff and the food was delicius. Nice ambiente. There is an english menu aviable and they speak fluent english (2 from 3 people)
Nice lunch! Very happy with the vegetarian options.
What a great find, being a celiac finding somewhere I can order more then 20% of the menu in Japan is difficult. All the main dishes were gluten free, staff were really helpful. Wanted to go back the next day but was closed, gutted. One of my favourite meals while I was in Japan. Would highly recommend :)
I ordered the Mumbai Fish Curry, Turmeric Rice, and Soup Momo. Absolutely awesome food! Also, great service! I would say this one of the best restaurants in Kanazawa
Great english menu, great food, grrat service!Good for vegeterian!
Loved eating here! The staff were super friendly and the food came out very fast. It was the best naan I've ever had and the curry was to die for. Would definitely come again! :)
An Island of Excellence in Nepali/Indian Cuisine in this part of the world. The food was well balanced and very authentic. The Nepali style potatoes were worthy of a Michelin star. Service by Senu excellent and friendly. Rest of the staff is also really good - the Cooks were also serving, which is a unique and great idea since they get direct feedback from the guests.I strongly recommend this Restaurant.
Delicious food. Rice could be better
Delicious Indian/Nepalese food. Had lunch there today. Their lunch menu includes a deliciously fresh baked naan which we loved. Highly recommended!
Absolutely brilliant, one of the best curries I've had anywhere, not just in Japan. Staff spoke both English and Japanese and were very helpful - I was told my food might take a while but it arrived in 15 minutes. Momo were excellent, as was the Keema curry.
Near the samurai district of Kanazawa, this little Indian restaurant was a great stop for lunch. Curries were flavourful and they had a choice of three that they had made that day. Naan was crispy and chewy made in a real tandoori. The yoghurt was a nice touch. Only downside is we could've used more rice. As we're traveling with a baby, lost points for no baby seat or high chair and an awful bathroom for changing a diaper.
This was some of the best Indian/Nepalese food I've ever had. I went with the Deluxe-Thali plate. TripAdvisor lists this place as one of the best restaurants in Kanazawa and I can't disagree. I love Japanese food so it feels strange to say that this Indian food might have been my favorite meal of my time in Japan.
Great place, super-friendly owner and awesome food. One of the best Indian food I ever ate, full of vegetarian and vegan options. They speak English! :)
Absolutely amazing!Firstly for the food and more importantly for the service.... The owner herself is completely involved with everything and that shows! We had a particular request and she asked the chef to speak to us, who was way more concerned than us to make sure we have exactly what we need! And he did make that available, actually he beat our expectation!Never imagined finding an Indian Restaurant in Kanazawa, Let alone such amazing food and amazing amazing guys who make it available!P.S: Try the Chicken Dum Biryani!
This place is friendly and the food is delicious. One of the nicest butter chicken I've had.
Tasty curry that's good value for money. The restaurant is a cute, cosy, nicely decorated place. Staff were also really friendly.
The food is good and the place has a good Indian ambience. Staff is really friendly.
Great food and great service. All menu’s available in English and a large choice of dishes. Despite being very busy on the day we went, we received our order in a timely manner. We went on a Tuesday and it was packed. While they seem to accommodate as much as possible, I would recommend calling ahead to see if a reservation is needed to avoid disappointment.
Super friendly, warm and welcoming staff! GREAT food including vegan options, and the wine options pair quite well with the food. A really great meal, very reasonable prices, and just a fantastic experience!
One of the best curries i’ve ever had. Cannot recommenced highly enough!
While visiting Kanazawa we basically stumbled across Aashirwad, looking for a place where vegetarians and non-vegetarians can find something to eat. What we found was a lovely restaurant with delicious food, very friendly service and fair prices. Would absolutely go there again.
Great place. Really tasty food and we'll preened. Nice friendly welcome. Sesame naan was delicious.
Taste is fantastic, and very reasonably priced. Great value. The owner lady can speak four languages, Japanese, English, and her native languages. She was very welcoming and hospitable. Was also fun to watch Japanese locals enjoying the food, with some handling spice better than others, but all enjoying their food and experience. Food takes a little time to come, but small snack provided free while you wait, and plenty of time and space given to eat
Very good Indian food in Kanazawa. Wonderful curry, the garlic Nam is a must. Great stop for those who are looking for a difference . Highly recommended
Excellent Curry, very friendly staff. English speaking staff and English menu.
It has good interior design with indian theme. The waiters are friendly and welcoming. They can speak English very well so don't worry if you don't speak the language. Obviously they speak Japanese also. The chefs are from India and Nepal so it is guaranteed the foods are authentic. You don't need to wait long for the food (5-15 minutes) but I guess it depends on what your order also. The foods are delicious. They can retain the original indian/nepalese taste but at the same time adapted to the local tongue that are not too familiar with strong spices of the original indian dishes. So this is also good for international tourists from Europe or North America. From me personally, I recommend anyone to try their chicken tikka with naan and basic indian curry to feel the authentic indian food experience. You can see from the pictures that I shared.
Beautiful food and staff. We found both vegan and vegetarian meals, and had quite a range of these to choose from. It was all delicious and we left extremely satisfied!
Very welcoming and delicious food suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
Boy, by far the best naan and chicken Tikka masala I have ever had. Fresh, tasteful, authentic. Top place if you like Indian or you want to try it.
Delicious food! The lady who served us picked up that we were vegetarian and thoughtfully checked that one of the dishes was ok. Really good vegetarian options made it hard to choose but we ended up with paneer and naan, which were fantastic!
Delicious authentic curries at a good price. The service was very friendly and they had a great mix of local and Indian/Nepalese beers. The curries are served with a side of mixed spices and chillies that you can add as you please until the spice level is at your liking. Beware of the pickled chillies- they taste great by themselves but you'll be breathing fire in no time!!
Great Indian in Kanazawa - had the chicken tikka masala and paneer saag, both delicious. Friendly staff, clean environment and great atmosphere for a nice dinner
Indian and Nepalese dishes. Meat and vegan friendly. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. Very tasty. Great friendly staff. Highly recommend it.
Excellent food! Great for vegetarians, which can be complicated otherwise in Japan. I had a paneer dish and my wife had chicken. Both excellent. The naans were large and delicious. The lassis are great too. The spice levels were higher than in other curry places in Japan, which we enjoyed because we've been missing spicy food. Note that, unlike in most Indian restaurants in Europe, rice is not automatically included with the dish.Overall, highly recommend.
Such friendly service and such tasty food. Everything we had was so full of flavour and just the right amount of spice. Recommend the Nepalise potatoes and the Chana salad.
Best Indian in Kanazawa. The hostess of this place was very friendly and nice to us. Recommend us the different meals we wanted to.We're really looking for a comforting food and this was the right place to have it. Prices are average and the meals are about the right size. Their Nan bread was great too! Gyoza comes with beef instead of pork across major Japanese restaurant so it was great refreshment. The surroundings is really good to so you can enjoy strolling around at evening time
Went in to enjoy what I hoped would be a good Curry and Naan. This place did not disapoint. I got the chicken tikka misala(choice of spiciness from 1-5) , a large naan and side of rice. Walked out feeling full and satisfied in my choice. The staff are all super friendly and welcoming so was a great experience! Definitely check it out if your in town
Such delicious food!! We really really love Indian food and this place did not let us down when we stumbled upon it. Of course, the price is higher than your average local meal but as far as Indian food in Japan the price was good! And of course, vegetarian friendly is hard to come by but this place has it all. Paneer butter masala was amazing, and of course can't forget the mango lasi! We enjoyed every bite, the staff is also so warm and welcoming and it was a nice cozy atmosphere on a cold day.×וכל הודי מעולה, שמחו לשמוע ש×× ×—× ×• ישר××œ×™× ×•×פילו ×מרו ×œ× ×• "תודה רבה" בעברית בהתלהבות. ×”×™×” מדהי×, הלוו××™ ×ž×§×•× ×›×–×” ב×רץ. ×ª×”× ×•!
Popped in for lunch and the set menu was great value. Either 850 yen for a curry and bread or rice, or 1000 yen for two smaller curries, bread and rice. You can choose from four options at lunch time, and when we went two of these were vegetarian, could also be made vegan. All tasted delicious and was the best Indian meal I've had in Japan. Considering how full I was after the 1000 yen set, this was fantastic value! Service was great and they spoke perfect English. The a la carte menu looked lovely but is only available for dinner.
This restaurant was English friendly! The staff here were very kind and always making sure our water was filled. Much appreciated on a hot day! We got the Spinach and Potato Curry which was a delicious vegetarian option. I chose to have the Naan with a small amount of Turmeric Rice, and both went splendidly with the main dish. We had the Mango Lassi and Iced Chai for beverages. The Lassi was the best I've ever tasted though the Chai left something to be desired. Overall an amazing experience and we'd love to dine here again!
Best of best the food are delicious really delicious & the service was good too highly recommended
We had dinner and it was excellent. Very good Nepali/Indian food. The service was very good and the people are friendly. There is an English menu and the people speak English. It is a bit noisy but that was mainly due to a party of four that had a bit too much to drink. It is also cash only no chard cards accepted. Take is a delicious break from traditional Japanese food and sushi. Go there you will like it.
Friendly people, great food and cozy ambiance.
One of the best curries I have ever eaten! The restaurant has a great atmosphere and there staff were very friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Delish food, many vegan options
